Public Restrooms

A public restroom in Amsterdam is a bit different than what we are used to in the states... if you are a woman, I would suggest using the enclosed restrooms, it is .50 Euro if you are downtown, some of the WCs have a box outside the doors, but most of the very public toilets actually have doors outside the door that you cannot enter without dropping the coin in the slot, and these are co-ed too and not non-smoking. Quite an education just in using the bathroom.
