Big World Amsterdam

Science Museum, Nemo
A house boat on one of the canals in Amsterdam
One of the many canals and homes along the boat tour of downtown Amsterdam.

Friday, June 22nd
Our bodies are still adjusting to the time so we are up but feeling a bit like walking zombies. We decide to take advantage of the public transportation system here and head into Amsterdam today. It is amazing how different things are here. It is the opposite feeling of "small world". Nothing here feels like home down to the smallest detail. For starters, everyone here rides bikes everywhere. It is odd to because the weather isn't even all that great. In Houston we would all stay in and not even drive our cars because of the weather and these people ride their bikes in it. They have on skirts and high heels and ride in the rain and cold. Oh, and they are beautiful. Tall, healthy looking and very physically attractive people. The shoes here are incredible - I think they must have as many shoes as clothes and they are all very unique and wonderful.

So far today we have taken the bus the train and the boat. Sounds like a movie...
